On Friday, December 13th, Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa will host an extraordinary charity dinner featuring the most prestigious chefs from Alicante. This event aims to raise funds for those affected by the DANA storms that devastated the Valencian Community.
The event called “From the Stars for Valencia”, is a one-of-a-kind event that will bring together 12 Michelin-star restaurants from the province of Alicante, alongside the renowned pastry chef Paco Torreblanca, to deliver a culinary experience of unparalleled excellence. Guests will indulge in a menu crafted by these culinary masters, blending flavors and creativity, all for a meaningful cause.
The event will take place at the luxurious Asia Gardens Hotel & Thai Spa with a participation fee of €500 per person, which will serve as a direct donation to support the victims of the storms.
What can guests expect?

The event will commence with two parts, as Kiko Moya shared with us during the press conference.
Guests will start with a welcome cocktail in the gardens of the Asia Garden Hotel and later they will enjoy a dinner hosted by Susi Díaz, Quique Da Costa, Kiko Moya, and Paco Torreblanca, where the guests will be able to indulge in multiple appetizers and succulent dishes from assorted backgrounds and inspirations.
Honoring one of this land’s classics, Shrimp rice, guests can enjoy one of the appetizers brought by Cristina Figuera, and the Restaurant El Xato, who will delight us by creating a Socarrat of red shrimp with black rice accompanied by a citrus aioli.
Ferdinando Bernardi from Casa Bernardi shares with us the heartwarming Suppli a la Romana, which envelops a Bolognese risotto croquette with a mozzarella center accompanied by saffron mayonnaise reminiscent of his grandmother’s cooking.
Enjoy chefs like Jose Manuel Lopez from Peix I Brasses, who takes the gastronomy of the marina alta as a reference and from there makes a free interpretation, bringing us a splash of sea urchin very well paired with blue crab, incorporating in their menus not only seasonal ingredients but using invasive species, that allows them to market, exploit and contribute in such a way that this plague does not spread.
These are some of the few captivating meals this event will bring us.
As Kiko Moya mentioned during the press conference, this is an event that has a sad note, but which does not have to be reflected as such throughout the night, this event has been created to help and support all those businesses that have been affected by the DANA.
“The beautiful part of this, is that we keep doing what we like and what comes naturally, which is to cook, so being able to do something we like to help people that need help, is a beautiful thing,” says Andrea Drago chef at Orobianco.

Join the Stars for a Cause
As Cristina commented to Spain Life Exclusive, an event like this is hard to come upon since all these Michelin star chefs have their plans which they have put on hold to be able to come together and give back and support their peers in Valencia.
This is more than a dinner; it’s an opportunity to make a difference. Combining the artistry of Michelin-starred chefs with a spirit of generosity, “From the Stars for Valencia” promises an unforgettable evening in support of a vital cause.
